Capmatinib is a drug that specifically blocks MET to treat a type of lung cancer, known as NSCLC, which often skips the 14th exon of MET. It works by blocking a part of the MET called the kinase, which in turn stops cancer from growing. You can get this drug in two doses—either 150 mg or 200 mg in those little tablets with a coating.
Doctors usually tell patients to take 400 mg of this stuff, two times a day—it’s up to you whether you want to take it with or without some food. It comes in bottles with 60 tablets each.
