This oral med, called Ixazomib, is used to treat multiple myeloma. It’s part of a group called proteasome inhibitors, which mess with protein break downs in cancer cells. You can get it in 2.3, 3, or 4 mg doses, and it comes in caplet form.
Typically, they’d prescribe a 4 mg caplet once a week on days one, eight, and 15 of a month-long cycle. So, you just pop one 4 mg caplet for a dose. Each blister pack has three caps to cover the whole cycle.
It usually gets used with other drugs, and you might need to tweak your dose depending on kidney health and other stuff.
