Larotrectinib is a special TRK inhibitor. It’s made to fight TRKA, TRKB, and TRKC – the bad guys behind tumor growth in solid tumors with NTRK fusions. It’s meant to treat NTRK fusion-positive cancers that can’t be cut out or have spread, both in grown-ups and kids.
There are two forms you can get it in – capsules with 25 or 100 milligrams each, or you can get a 20 mg/mL liquid stuff to take. Grown-ups take 100 milligrams of the stuff twice a day, but if you’re a kid, how much you take changes depending on your body size. Each bottle comes with 60 of these capsules.
