Palbociclib is this CDK4/6 inhibitor thingy that’s used to treat HR /HER2 breast cancer. It keeps cells from moving forward in their cycle by doing that. You got three doses: 75mg, 100mg, and 125mg.
For adults, the go-to is 125mg once a day, every day for 21 days out of every 28-day chunk. It comes in bottles with 21 capsules each. It’s meant to stop those Cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 things that control how cells move through their cycle.
Expect some side effects like nausea, tiredness, diarrhea, and achy muscles. You take these capsules through your mouth, with or without food, but no breaking, chewing, or grinding them up. Make sure to do what your doc says about the dosage and don’t take more than the recommended amount.
It’s really important to finish the whole prescription to get the most out of it.
