Palbociclib is a CDK4/6 inhibitor designed for HR /HER2breast cancer, specifically targeting cell cycle progression. You got three dosages—75 mg, 100 mg, and 125 mg. The one they usually go for is 125 mg, taken every day for 21 days out of every 28-day cycle.
The med comes in bottles with 21 capsules each, which is super handy because it matches the schedule you need to take it. How it works is by blocking these things called CDK4 and CDK6, which stops cancer cells from dividing and growing. So far, it’s been effective in treating some types of breast cancer.
You should take the capsules on an empty stomach, either an hour before eating or two hours after, with a glass of water. Some common side effects can be nausea, tiredness, and muscle and bone pain, to name a few.
