Binimetinib is an oral MEK inhibitor. It’s used to treat advanced or metastatic melanoma, especially when the BRAF gene has mutations like V600E or V600K. It blocks the MEK pathway.
This pathway helps cancer cells grow. It’s available as 15 mg tablets. You’re supposed to take 45 mg of it, twice a day.
Each box has 84 tablets. You can take it with or without food, just make sure it’s at the same time each day. You need to take Binimetinib along with another drug called encorafenib, which is also a BRAF inhibitor.
You’ll keep taking it until the cancer gets worse or the side effects are too much to handle.
