Asciminib is this BCR-ABL inhibitor thing. It’s made for chronic myeloid leukemia patients who’ve tried other treatments and they didn’t work. It goes right for the ABL myristoyl pocket specifically.
You’ve got two pill strengths to choose from: 20 mg or 40 mg. The doc usually says to take 80 mg a day, but you can take it all at once or split it into two 40 mg doses over the day. The drug comes in bottles with 60 pills in each.
It’s mainly prescribed for treating CML that’s related to the Philadelphia chromosome.
