So, Asciminib is this special med for CML that works when other treatments don’t cut it. It’s part of a group of drugs called BCR-ABL inhibitors, made to go after this little pocket in the BCR-ABL protein. The drug comes in two types: 20 mg and 40 mg, and they’re tablets with a special coating.
The thing is, for CML, you take 80 mg a day. You can take it all at once or divide it into two doses of 40 mg each—one in the morning, one at night. The treatment usually comes in bottles with 60 tablets.
And man, it’s super important to take it just how your doc tells you to.
