Ribociclib’s job is to block two important players in the cell cycle, called cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6. It’s prescribed to treat a certain type of breast cancer that’s hormone receptor-positive andHER2-negative. The medicine comes in tablets, each one’s a 200 mg dose, covered with a film.
You’re supposed to take 600 mg a day, only once a day for 21 days during a 4-week cycle. So, take the tablets for three weeks straight, but then take a week off. Ribociclib is supplied in blister packs containing 63 tablets, providing a sufficient supply for two complete cycles.
Its purpose is to stop cell cycles so it can help keep cancer cell growth in check. Just make sure to stick to the schedule given by your doc, and don’t go over the dose they told you to take.
