Crizotinib is an ALK/ROS1/MET inhibitor used for ALKor ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It’s a kinase inhibitor, which means it blocks a bunch of things that help cancer cells grow. You got two doses, 200 mg and 250 mg, and they come in little capsule deals.
The doc usually says to take the 250 mg ones twice a day, no big deal if you take ’em with or without a meal. They come in bottles with 60 capsules in them. How it works is by stopping these specific tyrosine kinases.
It might help slow down lung cancer in people who have these genetic things going on. It’s part of this targeted cancer treatment deal, where they go after the specific genetic issues in cancer cells, not just all cells.
