Futibatinib is a cholangiocarcinoma treatment that focuses on a specific fusion called FGFR2. It works by stopping a key pathway called FGFR that helps cancer cells grow and live. The tablets come in 4 milligram doses.
The doctor recommends 20 milligrams a day. That’s five of the 4-milligram tablets. Each time you take your dose, you can have one to four tablets.
Futibatinib comes in bottles with 28 pills. You can take the pills with or without eating. Just make sure you wait at least 12 hours between taking them over a 24-hour span.
You should never break, chew, or do anything else to the pills. You might notice side effects like losing your hair, having dry skin, or joint pain. Your doc will keep an eye on you for any bad stuff.
