Momelotinib is a Jak1/2 inhibitor, used to treat myelofibrosis with anemia. Its main goal is to shrink the spleen and bring down inflammation. The usual dose is 200 mg, taken once a day.
You can find it in two doses – 100 mg and 200 mg – both in a film-coated form. It comes in a bottle with 30 tablets inside. This medicine targets the JAK1 and JAK2 enzymes, big deal players in all the inflammation and scarring in myelofibrosis.
In short, by not letting those enzymes do their thing, it eases the symptoms of myelofibrosis. Doctors usually give it to you, but you gotta follow their directions and take your meds regularly for it to work well.
