Sotripentol is an anti-seizure medicine used to treat Dravet syndrome, along with other treatments. It works by boosting the stuff that helps control seizures, called GABAergic transmission. You can get Sotripentol in two strengths: 250 mg and 500 mg tablets.
For kids, the doc usually tells you to give them 50 mg for every kilo they weigh every day, split it up into two doses if you need to. They comes in bottles with 60 caps each. Good for those needing a longer treatment.
It’s important to let your doc keep an eye on you while you’re on this med, so they can watch out for any side effects and tweak your dose if it’s needed, just to make sure it works right and keeps you safe.
