Sotripentol is this anticonvulsant med, mostly used for Dravet syndrome. It does its thing by making GABAergic stuff stronger, which helps with seizures. You’re supposed to take it at a dose of 50 mg per kilogram of body weight every day, split up.
You can get this med in caps at 250 mg and 500 mg. Each bottle has 60 caps, so it’s easy for patients to keep their doses straight. It’s usually used with other stuff to get the best results.
Patients need to stick to the dosing plan so the med works right.
