Sotripentol is a type of seizure medicine. It’s usually used with other treatments to help with Dravet syndrome. It increases the effects of something called GABA to help with seizures and make them less likely and less severe.
You can get the drug in two strength options, 250 mg or 500 mg in capsule form. You usually take it as 50 mg for every kilo of your body weight, spread out throughout the day in smaller doses. It comes in bottles with 60 pills, so it’s easy to keep up with the schedule you need to take them.
The capsules let you measure out the right dose for your size, so it’s a good choice for what you need.
