Sunitinib is a drug used to treat things like RCC, GIST, and pancreas neuroendocrine tumors. This stuff is a kinase inhibitor that zeroes in on VEGFR, PDGFR, and a few others to help stop tumors and new blood vessel growth. You can get this in 12.5 mg, 25 mg, and 50 mg doses, and they’re in capsule form.
You usually take 50 mg once a day. Every four weeks, you take the pill for a month and then take two weeks off. Each bottle has 28 caps to last you a whole month if you take them as directed.
Sunitinib acts by inhibiting the activity of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), and other receptors that promote tumor growth and the development of new blood vessels, thereby slowing down tumor growth and spread.
