Vemurafenib is a BRAF inhibitor, used to treat melanoma with the V600E mutation. It works by stopping BRAF signals, helping to slow cancer growth down. You can get it as tablets with a coating, each one is 240 milligrams.
Most adults take 960 milligrams each day, that’s two doses. Each dose is a pill, so you’re looking at four tablets a day. Vemurafenib can be taken with or without eating.
The tablets come in bottles, with each one holding 112 pills. These tablets are covered with a film and should be taken the same way every time. Just keep taking it till your doc tells you to stop.
Make sure you follow your doc’s orders with the Vemurafenib and tell them about any other drugs or supplements you’re on, so they don’t mix and cause trouble. Sticking to your doc’s plan is key to managing the condition right.
