Ribociclib is made to fight a certain type of breast cancer that’s hormone-receptor positive and HER2-negative. It’s part of a group of drugs called CDK 4/6 inhibitors, which help slow down the growth of cancer cells. The tablets are 200 mg each.
You’re supposed to take 600 mg once a day. You do this for 21 days out of every 28 days. Each dose is in a tablet with a film coating.
Ribociclib comes in blister packs with 63 tablets each, which should cover one full cycle. The film coating makes sure the drug gets absorbed and makes it easier to swallow.
