Avatrombopag is this thing called a TPO receptor agonist. It’s mainly used for treating low platelet counts in people with liver disease or ITP. So, it works by getting those platelets to start making more of themselves.
You can get it in 20 mg tablets. You’re supposed to take one a day, though, and it’s better with food. Each bottle has 30 tablets, so that’s a month’s worth at the suggested dose.
Now, be careful with Avatrombopag if you’ve got a history of liver issues or your bone marrow isn’t doing so great. You’ll also want to keep an eye on your liver function and platelet levels while you’re on it.
