Ribociclib is a drug that targets Cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6. It helps treat breast cancer where the hormone receptors are positive and the HER2 receptors are negative. You take 600 mg of it every day for 21 days every four weeks.
It’s available as 200 mg pills covered with a film. You get 63 of those pills per pack. It works by stopping cells from moving through their growth cycle.
You can take it with or without eating, but keeping to the same routine matters. People might experience side effects like feeling sick, tired, having the runs, throwing up, or not feeling like eating. You’ll need regular blood work to check on your liver and look out for any signs that the cancer might be getting worse.
