Belzutifan is a tiny drug that blocks a protein called HIF-2 alpha. This protein shows up in a lot of cancers, like VHL-linked RCC. It’s made to help cut down on something called tumor hypoxia signaling.
You can get it in 40 mg tablets. The usual amount to take is 120 mg every day. Each bottle holds 90 pills.
It’s meant for RCC patients who’ve had at least one anti-angiogenic treatment and their cancer hasn’t grown after that. Just a heads up, the dose might need to be changed depending on how bad the side effects are, and that’s up to your doc.
