Brigatinib is an ALK inhibitor. It’s used to treat ALK-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It works by stopping the ALK signal from getting through.
You start with 90 mg a day for the first week, then you go up to 180 mg a day. The tablets come in 30 mg, 90 mg, or 180 mg strengths, and they have a film coating on them. Each bottle has 30 of these tablets.
Brigatinib is for people who haven’t had luck with other treatments or for those who can’t use them. It’s also an option if treatment with other ALK inhibitors didn’t work. Potential side effects with Brigatinib include coughing, constipation, and trouble breathing.
You’ve got to be careful with it though, because it can cause serious stuff like lung problems and damage to the liver.
