Gilteritinib’s job is to tackle a type of blood cancer called AML, especially in people who have FLT3 mutations, those tough cases that keep coming back or don’t respond to treatment. It does this by slowing down an enzyme called FLT3 kinase, which helps stop leukemia cells from multiplying. You take it as 40 mg pills.
You’re supposed to take 120 mg every day, just once a day, and you swallow them. The pills come in bottles with 90 in each, so you’ve got a good supply.
