Mitotane is used to treat adrenal tumors and to reduce adrenal activity in people with adrenocortical cancer. The tablets are 500mg each and you take them in doses, starting at 2 to 6 grams a day. You can adjust the amount based on how well you tolerate it.
Each bottle has 100 tablets. Mitotane works by getting in the way of cortisol’s effects on receptors.
