Osimertinib is a treatment for a type of lung cancer called NSCLC that targets certain EGFR mutations, like the T790M one. You can get it in two doses: 40 mg and 80 mg, both in pills with a coating. Doctors usually suggest patients take 80 mg of the stuff once a day, whether they eat or not.
It comes in bottles with 30 pills in each one. The main stuff in it, osimertinib, keeps cancer cells from growing and spreading by targeting a protein called EGFR. It’s made to fight specifically the T790M mutation that can happen in some lung cancers after the first treatment stops being effective.
