Osimertinib is a medication that functions as an inhibitor targeting the EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor) T790M mutation, commonly found in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It’s specially made to deal with certain EGFR gene changes. The medicine comes in two doses for the tablet version—a 40 mg option and an 80 mg one.
The usual amount doctors go for is 80 mg each day. You can take it with food or on an empty stomach, it’s up to you. And it comes in bottles, each one holding 30 tablets coated with a special film.
