Selumetinib blocks something called the MEK enzyme. It’s super important in a cell signal system known as MAP kinase. This pathway is key to how cells grow, change, and live.
It’s used to help people with NF1, which is a type of cancer that causes these really bad tumors called plexiform neurofibromas. You can get it in two types: tiny 10 mg pills or bigger 25 mg ones. You’re supposed to take the 25 mg pill twice a day, on an empty stomach.
These capsules come in bottles, with 60 in each pack.
