It’s that 400 mg tablet, the one with the film coating, that’s used for hepatitis C. This med, Sofosbuvir, it stops that little enzyme called NS5B, which is key for the virus to keep replicating. You’re supposed to take one pill a day, usually with some other antivirals too.
Each bottle has 28 of those pills. You take it once a day, and it works best when you’re on it with other antivirals, especially for those long-term hepatitis C folks. They made these tablets so you only have to take one a day, making it easier to remember.
Just take the pill with or without food, whatever your doc says.
