Tivozanib’s job is to block something called vascular endothelial growth factor receptors, or VEGFRs. It’s used for treating a type of cancer called advanced renal cell carcinoma, and it’s good at stopping the growth of blood vessels in tumors. You’re supposed to take a 1.34 mg pill every day for 21 days, then take a break for 7 days.
You can get these in doses of either 890 micrograms or 1.34 milligrams. You can take it with or without eating, and it comes in bottles with 21 pills each. This is a pill you take, and it’s made to cut off the blood supply to tumors so they can’t grow.
