Tofacitinib is a JAK inhibitor, mostly used to treat autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ulcerative colitis. It helps by controlling how your immune system works, and this cuts down on the swelling in parts of your body that are sore. You can get the drug in two strengths, 5 mg and 10 mg, both as coated pills.
The usual dose is two 5 mg tablets, once in the morning and once at night. The pills are round, white, and have a coating. They come in bottles with 60 tablets each.
