Tucatinib is used to treat adult patients who have breast cancer with HER2-positive status and brain tumors. The usual dose of tucatinib is 300 mg, taken two times a day, and you should take it with some food. You take two 150 mg tablets, one right after the other.
There are tablets in two strengths: 50 mg and 150 mg. You’ll find them in bottles with 60 tabs each. Tucatinib stops the HER2 signal, which is like a road cancer cells use to grow in breast cancer patients with HER2-positive tumors.
Make sure to take tucatinib exactly as your doctor tells you, and don’t take more than what’s recommended.
