Vemurafenib is a pill that helps with a kind of skin cancer called melanoma, especially in folks with this BRAF V600E thing. So, it’s what we call a BRAF inhibitor. It’s like a roadblock for this BRAF protein, stopping it from making cancer cells grow.
The medicine comes in tablets, and each one has 240 mg of vemurafenib in it. You’re supposed to take 960 mg of it, two times a day, whether you’re eating or not. Each box has 112 of these tablets, and that adds up to 2,880 mg, which is a whole month’s worth.
Just a heads-up, Vemurafenib can cause some side effects like skin issues, aching joints, the runs, and exhaustion. Make sure to take it with a doc’s help.
