Asciminib is a BCR-ABL oral inhibitor. It’s specifically for CML patients who haven’t responded to other treatments or who are resistant to them. It works by hitting a specific pocket in the ABL kinase, which stops it and helps cut down CML cells.
You can get it as 20 mg or 40 mg tablets. For the best results, people usually take 80 mg a day—either two 40 mg pills or two 40 mg doses split up throughout the day. It comes in bottles with 60 tablets each, which is pretty handy.
