So, gilteritinib is this special FLT3 inhibitor drug. It’s mostly used to treat tough cases of AML that come back after treatment or don’t respond at all because they have these FLT3 mutations. It works by blocking FLT3 kinase, which in turn helps slow down leukemia cells from growing too much.
The tablets come in a 40-milligram dose. You’re supposed to take 120 milligrams of this stuff each day, just one pill taken by mouth. And guess what? Each bottle is packed with 90 of those tablets.
