Palbociclib is a kind of drug that focuses on blocking CDK4/6 in breast cancer, especially in those that are HR /HER2-positive. It stops the cell cycle from moving forward by interfering with certain kinase activities, mostly when the cells are dividing, which leads to cell death and less cancer. It comes as capsules and you can take it in doses of 75mg, 100mg, or 125mg.
They usually suggest taking 125mg every day for 21 days, every four weeks. Each package has 21 capsules, enough for three weeks of treatment. You’ll take three capsules a day, what they say you should, and it depends on your weight.
