Resmetirom is this thing called a THR-β agonist, used to treat NASH. It’s supposed to help with fat metabolism in the liver. These come as 80 mg pills, and you’re supposed to take one a day.
You’re supposed to take these tablets with water only, not with food or milk. These tablets are in a special kind of shell to protect your liver while you digest them. You can get these in bottles with 30 tablets each.
NASH is a progressive liver disease caused by a buildup of fat within the liver, and resmetirom is specifically indicated to reduce liver fat in adults with NASH with or without fibrosis, and who have failed to respond to or are intolerant to other therapies. Just so you know, they’ve tested this stuff and it seems to work, but you should definitely talk to your doc before you start using it.
