Selumetinib is used to treat a type of neurofibromatosis called NF1, which involves plexiform neurofibromas. It works by stopping something called MEK signaling. This is a big deal because it’s part of a pathway that helps cells grow and live.
You’ve got two options with Selumetinib: 10 mg or 25 mg in a capsule. The doc usually says to take 25 mg per square meter of your body surface area, twice a day, on an empty stomach. Each bottle has 60 capsules in it.
Keep the med at room temp and out of the sun.
