This is a pill called Palbociclib. It’s meant to help with a type of breast cancer that doesn’t have certain proteins on the cancer cells. The main way it works is by stopping the cancer cells from dividing and growing.
It does this by targeting two proteins, CDK4 and CDK6. Palbociclib comes in pill form and you can get it in doses of 75, 100, or 125 milligrams. The recommended dosage for HR /HER2breast cancer is 125 mg taken once daily over a 21-day cycle, with a 7-day rest period making up the remaining 7 days of a 28-day treatment cycle.
So, each bottle will have enough pills for three of those three-week cycles.
